About Emirates
Emirates is the subsidiary of the Emirates group, which is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The airline was founded in
1985 and started operating from October 25, 1985. It is the largest airline in the Middle East that operates over 3,300 flights per week from its hub at
Dubai International Airport, to more than 144 cities in 78 countries across six continents. It was ranked 8th by Air Transport World for "Airline of the
Year" in 2012 and has been rated as a four-star airline by aviation consultancy group Skytrax. The airline was voted Airline of the Year in 2013.
